Last Friday Monroe County Trauma Star Flight Nurse

We’re proud to announce that six of Local 3909’s paramedics have just completed their clinicals and rotations at UF Shands in critical units such as Pediatric ICU, Trauma ICU, Thoracic-Vascular ICU, Cardiac ICU along with Surgical and Medical ICUs. These students will graduate the program in December paid for through a grant by NASA. Not pictured are Flight Medics, Liz Jacoby and Matthew Hill.

By voluntarily participating in classes like these, our firefighters continue to exemplify Local 3909 and Monroe County Fire Rescue’s dedication to providing exceptional, above-standard care and services to our community and visitors alike.
